Let me be clear from the start. Funding Pips is not for everyone. As a prop firm, it does some things very well and some things poorly. If you understand what type of trader Funding Pips is built for, it can work extremely well. If you don’t, you’ll most likely struggle and end up complaining about rules that were always there.
Who Funding Pips Is For
Funding Pips works best for traders who keep things simple and controlled.
- It is good for forex traders who trade normal intraday or swing setups.
- It suits traders who are comfortable with two step evaluations.
- It works for people risking around 0.5% to 1% per trade.
- It is good for traders who like frequent payouts.
- For metals, it is okay if you are fine with 1:30 leverage.
If you trade clean, respect drawdown, and don’t overtrade, Funding Pips can be a solid choice.
Who Funding Pips Is Not For
This is where most people go wrong.
- If you are a scalper, avoid it. Spreads can be bad and there is a one minute rule.
- If you risk more than 1% per trade regularly, you will eventually get restricted.
- If you trade crypto heavily, leverage is low and commissions add up.
- If you keep changing devices, locations, or IPs, this firm is not flexible.
Most negative reviews come from traders who should never have joined in the first place.
Evaluation Models What Actually Makes Sense
Funding Pips offers multiple models, but realistically only two are worth considering.
The two step and two step pro models are the best options.
The instant account looks attractive, but the 15% consistency rule makes it a mess. You can find much better instant funding elsewhere.
Between the two step options, my recommendation is the two step pro.
Leverage is higher.
Cost is lower.
You get more drawdown space.
For metals like XAUUSD, leverage is capped at 1:30. That is workable, but if metal leverage is your main focus, other firms do offer better conditions.
Daily Loss Limit And Risk Space (Good Things I encountered)
The risk limits are fair.
Daily loss limit is 3%.
Overall drawdown is 5%.
This gives enough room for disciplined traders. You are not forced to trade ultra small, but you also cannot gamble.
There is no written rule saying you cannot risk more than 1% per trade, but in practice, if you keep pushing high risk, you can get restricted. Trade responsibly and you won’t have issues.
Payouts And Reward Cycles
This is one of the strongest parts of Funding Pips.
Their reward cycles are among the best in the industry. You get daily payouts and on demand payouts, which very few firms offer properly.
I’ve explained their full payout structure here if you want details:
Payouts are usually processed through Rise or crypto and are generally smooth. Some Basic 20$ handling fees
Spreads And Trading Conditions Honest Reality
I’ll be direct. Spreads are not great.
I mostly traded XAUUSD and experienced large gaps even when there was no major news. If you trade tight stops, this can hurt you badly.
This is exactly why scalpers should avoid Funding Pips. The combination of unstable spreads and the one minute rule is dangerous.
For normal intraday and swing trading, it is manageable if you plan entries properly.
Crypto Trading On Funding Pips
For crypto traders, Funding Pips is not ideal.
Leverage is lower than many competitors.
Commissions can eat into profits quickly.
If crypto is your main focus, there are better alternatives. Funding Pips is clearly more forex oriented.
IP Rules And Devices
Funding Pips is strict about IP and device usage.
Stick to the same device and network. Avoid VPNs, public WiFi, or logging in from different locations. This is not a firm where you want to experiment with setups.
Dashboard And Analytics
The dashboard is actually very good.
You can see your trading calendar.
Daily and overall averages are clearly shown.
All trades with wins and losses are easy to review.
Sessions and instruments are broken down well.
From a performance tracking perspective, they’ve done a good job.
Final Verdict
Funding Pips is a good firm that pays out most traders who follow rules and trade properly.
It is not perfect. Spreads are an issue and the instant account should be avoided.
If you are a forex intraday or swing trader and choose the two step or two step pro model, Funding Pips is a solid option.
Trade it seriously, not emotionally, and it delivers what it promises.
