Trading a funded or evaluation account means one number matters more than any other on a losing day: where your drawdown floor sits. Most prop firms don’t just draw a flat drawdown line — the floor trails your equity as you make new highs, then locks in place once you cross a set trigger level. That single mechanic decides how much breathing room you actually have as your account grows. How End-of-Day Drawdown (EOD DD) Actually Works

End-of-day drawdown is calculated off your account balance at the daily close, not your live intraday equity so intraday dips don’t count against you, only where you finish the day. Early on, the drawdown floor trails your highest end-of-day balance by a fixed buffer, meaning every new high you close at pulls the floor up with it. Once your balance reaches a set trigger level (for example, $52,100 on a $50K account), the trailing stops entirely and the floor locks permanently at a fixed value (like $50,100) – protecting a chunk of profit no matter what happens to your equity afterward. Understanding this shift from “trailing” to “locked” is the difference between trading scared of a moving target and trading with a known, fixed floor under you.

How to Use It

1. Pick your account size (25K, 50K, 100K, or 150K) from the tabs at the top of the chart.
2. Watch the two lines: the green line is your equity, the amber/cyan line is your drawdown floor.
3. Drag the marker at the bottom of the chart left or right to scrub through the trading days — the curves redraw live as you move it.
4. Hit play to auto-run the progression and watch the floor trail upward, then snap flat the moment equity hits the lock trigger.
5. Check the stats row above the chart for the exact day, equity value, drawdown floor, and whether you’re still “trailing” or already “locked.”
6. Hit the dice icon anytime to simulate a fresh equity path and see how the lock timing shifts.
