Payout Methods
Blue Guardian runs two separate brands, and this page covers the forex and CFD one. If you're after futures, that's a different company site with different rules, and we list it separately as Blue Guardian Futures. On the CFD side you get five current account models: an Instant account with no evaluation, a 1 Step and a 2 Step Standard evaluation, and cheaper Nano versions of both evaluations. Accounts run from $5,000 up to $400,000, you trade on MetaTrader 5, Match-Trader or TradeLocker, and payouts go out through Rise or crypto.

- The models aren't interchangeable. They differ on profit target, drawdown type, consistency rules and how fast you can withdraw, so pick the model before you pick the size.
- Guardian Shield is the rule to respect. On funded accounts, if your open trades hit a 2% floating loss (1% on Instant), the system closes everything. The first time it happens your profit split drops to 50% for good, and the second time the account is breached.
- Funded accounts can't trade the news. You can't open or close trades 5 minutes either side of high-impact news or FOMC events, and profit from those trades can be taken back. Evaluations allow it.
- Hold trades for at least 2 minutes. Anything closed faster can be flagged as tick scalping.
- The prices below are a current sale. Each plan page shows the list price next to what you'd pay today, and a sale can end.
Which Model Should You Pick?
| Model | Targets | Daily / Max Loss | Funded Split | Payouts | Catch |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Instant Standard | None | 3% / 6% trailing | 80% (90% add-on) | On demand | 20% consistency, 5 profitable days, no news trading |
| 1 Step Standard | 9% | 4% / 6% trailing | 85% (90% add-on) | Every 14 days | 3 profitable days to pass |
| 1 Step Nano | 10% | 4% / 6% trailing | 85% (100% add-on) | Every 7 days | 50% consistency, 5 profitable days when funded |
| 2 Step Standard | 8% then 4% | 4% / 8% static | 85% (90% add-on) | Every 14 days | 3 profitable days to pass |
| 2 Step Nano | 8% then 5% | 3% / 10% static | 80% | Every 14 days | Payouts capped at 2% of the account per cycle |
If you want the most breathing room, the 2 Step Standard is the safest bet, because its 8% drawdown is static and doesn't trail your profits. The 1 Step Standard is the quickest route to a funded account with the lowest target, but the trailing 6% tightens as you win. The Nano versions are the budget options. The 1 Step Nano pays out weekly and has no minimum days to pass, though the 50% consistency rule slows you down if you have one big day. The 2 Step Nano gives you the widest drawdown at 10%, but that 2% payout cap means it's better for passing cheaply than for pulling out large withdrawals. Instant is for traders who don't want to prove anything first, and you pay more per dollar of capital for that.

How You Get Paid
You can withdraw through Rise or crypto. Crypto has a $100 minimum and Rise has a $500 minimum, and payouts are processed within 24 business hours. Every account needs to be above its initial balance, with all positions closed and no rule violations, before you request a payout. Once your trailing drawdown locks at breakeven (after 6% profit), 1% of the initial balance has to stay in the account, so you can't withdraw everything and breach yourself. On Instant accounts from $200K up, the first two payouts are capped at $10,000 each, and then the cap is lifted.
Rules That Catch People Out
The daily loss limit resets at 5pm EST and is based on the higher of your balance or equity at that moment, so a floating profit at the reset raises your starting point for the next day. Drawdowns are checked on equity, which means an open losing trade can breach you before you close it. Trailing drawdowns follow your highest closed balance, not floating profit. EAs are allowed, and so are overnight and weekend holds. Copy trading is allowed only between accounts you legally own, and VPNs or VPS are fine as long as you're not using them to get around the copy trading or group trading rules. A stop loss isn't mandatory, but you're still responsible for staying inside the limits.
Who Blue Guardian Suits
It suits traders who want a wide range of sizes, a choice between trailing and static drawdown, and low entry prices, especially on the Nano models. It's a weaker fit if you trade the news, because funded accounts can't, or if you scalp, because of the 2-minute rule. The Guardian Shield is also stricter than what most firms ask for, since it can permanently cut your split, so you need to size positions so a 2% floating loss never happens. Blue Guardian also lists older models (1 Step Pro, 2 Step Pro, 3 Step, Instant Starter and a buy now pay later option) that we haven't covered here, so check their site if you see one of those names.
