FundedNext Futures Challenge Terms currently ban negative risk-to-reward trades and cap risk-reward at 5:1.
Clause 2.2.15 on the official terms page says taking trades where risk is higher than potential reward is prohibited. The same clause says the firm enforces a maximum 5:1 risk-reward ratio.
That language is live on fundednext.com/futures-challenge-terms as of the 28 September 2026 page check. Trackers had logged the negative-RR and 5:1 language being removed in mid-August after a co-founder comment that the firm did not enforce a negative RR rule. The current published terms put both restrictions back.
The next clause, 2.2.16, still restricts trades within 2% of a CME price limit.
The Futures help-center landing page does not repeat the 5:1 wording. The binding text is the Challenge Terms page. Confirm it before treating a strategy as allowed.
Our Take: This is a contract-page rule, not a dashboard tooltip. If you run wide stops or lottery-ticket targets, read 2.2.15 against your actual fills. The August removal and September return mean the clause can move. Screenshot the live terms on the day you buy.
