Nexgen ProTrader Funding has told traders it is done. In a post from its own X account on 2 October 2026, the firm said it is ceasing operations because it ran out of money after losing credit card processing in August and failing to recover.
New sales of evaluations, funded accounts, Semi-Live accounts, and resets stopped at 5 PM ET on 1 October. The firm said CME live data would be disconnected and accounts would be unable to trade from that point. Discord for prop participants is closing too.
What the firm says happens to money already owed
- Approved payouts: remaining funds are not enough to pay every outstanding approved payout in full. Each affected trader is being offered a percentage of the approved amount as a proposed final settlement. The post does not name the percentage. Traders are supposed to get an individual note with the approved amount, the offer, the terms, and how to accept it.
- Active evaluation accounts: not moved to another firm. Nexgen said it will refund the purchase on accounts that are active and eligible under the final reconciliation. Timing was not given.
- Semi-Live accounts: no refund. Nexgen said it arranged complimentary Elite accounts at Legends Prop Firm, via Greg Khojikian and GFF Brokerage, for eligible active Semi-Live traders. Those accounts follow Legends rules, not Nexgen rules.
- Live cash accounts: to be closed and reconciled through GFF Brokerage, with applicable profit shares paid.
This is the same shape as other recent futures wind-downs, including FundedSeat’s September close, except FundedSeat said pending payouts would be paid. Nexgen is explicit that approved payouts will not be paid in full.
The August backdrop is on the same account. On 17 August, Nexgen said Stripe had cut its card processing, payouts had fallen behind, and the firm expected to catch up and stay open. The 2 October post says that recovery did not happen.
What it means for traders
If you have an approved Nexgen payout, do not assume the full amount is coming. Save the approval email, the dashboard screenshot, and anything that shows the amount. The settlement only exists once you get the individual offer and decide whether to accept it. The firm did not publish the percentage, so a screenshot of someone else’s offer is not your offer.
If you have an active evaluation, the refund is a promise in the wind-down post, not a payment that has already landed. If you have a Semi-Live account, the replacement is a Legends account under Legends rules. Read those rules before you treat it as the same account with a new logo.
Buying a new evaluation anywhere else does not recover a Nexgen balance. There is no Nexgen firm page on FundedTruth to send you to, because the product is no longer being sold.
Our Take: The useful part of this announcement is the payout line, not the thank-you. A firm that kept selling while card processing was already broken in August is now telling approved traders they will take a haircut. Treat the percentage settlement as the real offer, and treat the Legends transfer as a new account with a new rulebook, not as Nexgen paying you.
