Alpha Capital Group Rules

Alpha Capital runs five plans: Alpha Direct, Alpha One, Alpha Pro, Alpha Swing and a few tiers inside them. They share most of the conduct rules but differ a lot on drawdown, so the table below is the part to read first. Every account is a demo account with simulated funds, and a passed evaluation becomes a Qualified Analyst account that earns a performance fee.

Drawdown and Daily Loss

The daily limit resets at 00:00 GMT+3 broker time. On Pro 8%, Pro 10% and Swing it's measured from your starting balance for the day, so a floating profit carried over doesn't give you extra room. On Alpha One, Alpha Direct and Pro 6% it uses the higher of balance or equity, so a floating profit at the reset does raise your starting point. Breaches are always judged on live equity, floating losses included, and a hard breach closes all trades and the account.

Trailing drawdown on Alpha One and Alpha Direct follows your highest balance and stops once it reaches your starting balance. On a $100,000 One 10% account the floor starts at $94,000, moves up with your balance and locks at $100,000 after you hit $106,000. After that, leave a buffer, because taking all your profit pays out but closes the account.

Lot Limits

Maximum exposure scales with size: 2.5 lots on $5K, 5 on $10K, 10 on $25K, 20 on $50K, 40 on $100K and 80 on $200K, with Swing at half of those. It's checked per position, not per trade idea, at the payout review. The first breach makes the fee earned on the excess lots non-withdrawable, and the second forfeits the fee and closes the Qualified account.

News Trading

News trading is allowed with a 5-minute window on both sides of the release. You can't open a new trade or close an existing one on the targeted instrument from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after. Swing has a looser version, a 4-minute window where any trade opened inside it has to last more than 2 minutes.

Weekend Holding

Weekends are allowed on One, Swing, and during Pro evaluation phases. Qualified Pro accounts and Alpha Direct can't hold over the weekend.

The 2-Minute Rule and Position Spamming

Your average trade duration has to be over 2 minutes, and at least 50% of your profit has to come from trades that lasted longer than that. Breaking it on a Qualified account removes the profit and resets the balance, and breaking it at the evaluation stage sends you back to Phase 1. Separately, splitting one trade idea into three or more positions, each opened within 60 seconds of the previous one, counts as position spamming. One or two positions, or scaling in at least a minute apart, is fine.

The Max Risk Rule

On Qualified accounts bought after 21 July 2026, your open drawdown on any single asset can't reach 3% on $5K to $25K accounts or 2% on $50K and up. Alpha Direct is stricter at 1% on every size, and it applies from your first trade. Losing positions on the same asset are added together, profitable ones don't offset them, and a new trade on the same asset in the same direction within 10 minutes adds to the earlier loss. Breaching it closes the account.

Expert Advisors and Prohibited Strategies

EAs are allowed on MT5 for trade management only, such as lot sizing, stop and take-profit handling and break-even tools, and each one must be pre-approved. Fully automated EAs, bots, high-frequency trading and latency arbitrage lead to immediate closure, and EAs are not available on cTrader, DX Trade, TradeLocker, swap-free accounts or Alpha Direct. Also banned are arbitrage, reverse trading and group hedging, taking advantage of mispricing, signal following and group trading, and account management by anyone but the account holder.

Activity, Allocation and Eligibility

Every account closes after 30 consecutive days without trading, and logging in doesn't count. The maximum total allocation is $400,000 across Pro, Swing, One, Three and Direct combined. Alpha Capital doesn't serve residents or nationals of about two dozen countries, including Russia, Iran, Belarus, Venezuela, Vietnam and Myanmar, plus sanctioned areas of Ukraine.
