Financial Commission to Showcase Prop Firm Certification at London Expo

The Financial Commission will exhibit and speak at the London Prop Trading Expo 2026 on 23-24 October, using the event to promote its voluntary Prop Firm Certification programme.

Key facts
The Commission announced on 5 October that it will be at Old Billingsgate in London. Chief Operating Officer Nikolai Isayev will moderate a Main Stage panel on 23 October titled “Transparency, Trust & the Battle for Reputation” at 1:00 PM, and return at 4:00 PM as a panelist on “Will Prop Firms Be Regulated in the Future?”. The team will showcase Prop Firm Certification at stand D11.

The certification is a voluntary framework that reviews firms on transparent rules, fair enforcement, clear payouts, risk controls, and complaint handling. Certified firms can display a badge and gain access to the Commission’s independent dispute resolution. The Commission says it has handled more than 13,000 complaints and reviewed over $100 million in claims since 2013 in its broader work with brokers. The prop-specific programme launched in July 2026.

Finance Feeds reported that the Expo expects up to 4,000 attendees, with more than 60 speakers and nearly 40 exhibitors. Tradeify and TradeDay are among the futures firms listed as recent additions.

What it means for traders
This is not a government regulator. It is an independent self-regulatory and dispute-resolution body extending into prop firms. A certification badge means a firm has submitted to an external review of its rules and processes, and that traders may have an outside channel for certain disputes if the firm is a member. It does not guarantee payouts, solvency, or that a firm will stay open. Traders should still check a firm’s own terms, payout record, and legal status.

Our Take
Voluntary certification is better than nothing in a space with frequent rule changes and limited formal oversight. The real test will be whether serious firms join, whether the Commission’s decisions carry weight, and whether traders actually use the dispute channel. The Expo appearance is useful visibility. It does not change the fact that most prop firm relationships remain contractual and largely unregulated.

I’ve been trading for over 5 years, mainly across Indian markets, futures, forex, crypto, and CFDs. Over the years, I’ve traded with a lot of different brokers and prop firms and spent a huge amount of time testing their rules, platforms, pricing, drawdown models, payout systems, and trading conditions.

I’ve been through plenty of failed prop firm challenges myself before eventually figuring out what works for me. That experience has given me a pretty practical understanding of what traders actually deal with when choosing a prop firm or trading platform.

Outside of trading, I work with financial content, SEO, and WordPress. I’ve built websites and tools around trading and finance, tested a wide range of trading tools, and even modified Pine Script indicators on TradingView as a hobby.

I write about prop firms, brokers, crypto platforms, and trading tools with a focus on the things that actually matter to traders, including rules, costs, payouts, and the overall trading experience.
