Matthew Leech is the founder and CEO of My Funded Futures, and he built it after already running a prop firm on the forex side. If you have ever wondered why MFFU feels more buttoned up than some of the newer futures firms, it helps to know he was not starting from zero when he launched it.

He came up through consulting, not the trading floor
Leech’s path into prop firms does not look like most of the other founders in this space. He went to Texas Christian University and graduated Magna Cum Laude, then spent a few years in consulting, first at Accenture and then at KPMG, before he ever built a company of his own. That background shows up in how he talks about the business. He treats compliance, affiliate structure, and platform infrastructure as things worth getting right early, not problems to patch later once traders start complaining.
He started with MyFundedFX, taking on the forex side of the funded trading world first. It grew fast on Twitter and Discord, and Leech leaned into that visibility rather than hiding behind a brand account. He answered traders directly, explained broker switches when they happened, and talked through the reasoning behind rule changes instead of just posting an announcement and moving on.
Why he built My Funded Futures the way he did
By the time Leech launched My Funded Futures in June 2023, he had already watched the prop firm industry closely enough to know exactly where it kept failing traders. Opaque rules that changed without warning, payouts that took forever or just did not happen, and firms that seemed built to collect evaluation fees rather than actually fund people. He set out to build the opposite of that, and it worked. My Funded Futures grew into one of the largest futures prop firms in the country, survived the wave of firm collapses that wiped out a lot of competitors in 2024 and 2025, and kept a Trustpilot rating in the high 4s across tens of thousands of reviews the whole way through.
He has not stopped at one company either. Leech also runs Seacrest Markets, and more recently took on CEO roles at Talero Brokerage, Blue Row Capital, and Fintevo, expanding beyond funded trading into brokerage and fintech more broadly. In late 2025 he started talking publicly about wanting to build out prediction markets inside MFFU, showing he is still looking for the next thing to build rather than sitting still with what he already has.
Where he actually shows up
Leech is one of the more outspoken founders in this industry. On X, under the handle @MattLeech, he does not just post company updates. He jumps into industry drama when it matters to traders, like when he publicly called out a competing firm launching amid customer outrage and told them directly not to ruin things for everyone else in futures. That kind of unfiltered commentary is fairly typical of how he uses the platform.
He is also active on LinkedIn under his own name, where he posts about MFFU hiring, industry events like the FIA expo, and company partnerships. Beyond that, he stays visible inside MFFU’s own Discord, answering trader questions and explaining changes as they roll out rather than routing everything through a support team. If you want to see how he actually thinks and talks day to day, X and Discord are where that happens, not a polished About page.
