Lucid Trading has split its live path in two. The help center now carries a New LucidMaxx Program and a New Live Structure, and it has moved the old writeups into legacy articles. If you bought before the change, the old rules are still the ones on the legacy pages.
The new Maxx article describes a Step 2 it calls Pre-Live. Passing that step puts instant live capital on the account, and the help center says the live starting balance is withdrawable. The legacy Maxx eval article still describes the old path: a 5 trading day minimum, 40% consistency, then a direct move into a live account.
The live bonus changed in the same rewrite. Legacy Live Structure calls it a one-time bonus of up to $4,500, and that article says LucidMaxx traders were not eligible. New Live Structure calls it a repeatable monthly live bonus, still capped at $4,500. Maxx traders are now pointed at the evaluation in that new article.
What the help center confirms
- New and legacy articles sit side by side, so the old path was not deleted.
- New Maxx adds a Pre-Live step before live capital.
- The live bonus on the new structure is repeatable and monthly, not one-time.
- The dollar cap quoted on both articles is $4,500.
Industry writeups that cite Lucid’s 5 October announcement fill in numbers the help-center search snippets do not. Spicy Futures and PipBack both say evaluations bought from 5pm ET on 5 October take the new path, that the eval minimum dropped from 5 days to 3, that the old pricing tiers are gone, and that blowing Pre-Live does not start the cooldown that still applies if you blow the live account. Those sites also list promo prices of $85, $155, $220, and $375 on the 25K through 150K. Treat those figures as reported, not as a line we read off a full help article.
This sits on top of a live program Lucid has already been frank about. In September the firm said most live accounts fail fast and put a cash-out option next to the move to live. The Lucid Trading page has the plan lineup. A Pre-Live step is a cheaper place to fail than a live account, which is the point if the cooldown complaint was real. A repeatable bonus is only worth modeling if you actually last 20 trading days in live, which is the bar the secondary writeups attach to it.
Our Take: The structural change is real, and it is on Lucid’s own help center. The promo prices and the 3-day minimum are not something to budget around until you open the new program article in your own dashboard. If you already hold a Maxx eval, check whether it is tagged legacy before you assume the shorter path applies.
