Topstep has added Performance Stats and Trades tab pages to TopstepX for Live Account traders, so they can review fills and see how their trading breaks down in one place. The firm also posted an explanation of why some traders are being called up to a Live Funded Account, with an amount equal to their XFA balances released into Live.
In a 28 October X thread, Topstep responded to a trader who had earned four payouts in three weeks while buying accounts at a pace that would annualize to roughly 700 per year. The firm said it aims to give everyone a fair shot to earn on Express Funded Accounts before moving them to Live, where profit potential is uncapped. It noted there is no universal “day before payout” timing that works for every trader’s purchase and payout schedule. See our Topstep firm page for plan details.
The new stats pages are a platform update for those already on Live. The call-up policy is about when the firm moves a trader from simulated XFA accounts into a Live Funded Account. Topstep has also scheduled an AMA with Chief Strategy Officer Ty Damore on Reddit for 29 October at 11 AM CT.
For traders on Topstep, the stats addition gives more visibility once you reach Live. The call-up language clarifies that high-volume account cycling can eventually mean proving the strategy in Live rather than continuing on simulated accounts. Rules for Combines, XFAs, and Live remain as published in Topstep’s help materials.
Our Take: Platform tools that surface your own fills are useful once you’re funded. The bigger point is Topstep’s stance on moving active traders to Live: it treats repeated evaluation and XFA cycling as something that eventually requires real-capital proof, not an open-ended sim path.
