Lucid Trading is a futures prop firm founded in 2025 by CEO AJ Campanella, built around a "practice, prove, go live" model that most evaluation-only firms don't offer. Four account types are covered on this page — LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily, and LucidDirect — all trading CME, CBOT, COMEX, and NYMEX futures on an end-of-day trailing drawdown with no hard breach rules on the fixed drawdown. The standout feature across the board: consistent funded traders eventually get moved to LucidLive, a real brokerage account with daily withdrawals and no payout windows.

- Three models make you prove it first, one doesn't. LucidPro, LucidFlex, and LucidDaily all run an evaluation before funding. LucidDirect skips that entirely — you buy straight into a funded account, at a higher price, with a tighter 20% consistency rule from day one.
- Consistency rules flip depending on the model. LucidPro has zero restrictions during the evaluation but checks 40% consistency once funded. LucidFlex and LucidDaily require 50% consistency to pass, then drop it once funded. LucidDirect runs a 20% consistency rule continuously, resetting every payout cycle.
- The LucidScale DLL shows up on three of the four models. LucidPro, LucidDirect ($50K+), and effectively any Lucid account with a fixed Daily Loss Limit will see that fixed dollar cap replaced by 60% of your highest-ever daily profit once your balance clears the account's trail level — a limit that only rises.
- News trading rules differ by model. LucidDaily treats red-folder news as a hard breach. LucidFlex, LucidPro, and LucidDirect all allow trading through news events.
- Pick your exact size once you know your type. The full plan list further down links straight to each size and configuration.
Which Account Should You Pick?
| If you want... | Pick | Why |
| To trade completely unrestricted during the evaluation, and don't mind a consistency check after you're funded | LucidPro | No consistency rule and a choice of Daily Loss Limit (or none) during the eval. Once funded, meet the 40% consistency rule to withdraw, with the full contract size available immediately — no scaling plan. |
| No daily loss limit while proving yourself, then complete freedom once funded | LucidFlex | 50% consistency rule during the eval (with a cushion for fast passes), no DLL by default. Once funded: no consistency rule, no payout buffer, just a minimum daily profit on qualifying days. |
| The option to choose EOD or intraday drawdown during your evaluation | LucidDaily | Same 50% eval consistency rule as Flex, but lets you pick your drawdown style upfront. Funded drawdown is always EOD trailing regardless of what you chose in the eval. News trading is restricted (hard breach on red-folder news). |
| To skip the evaluation completely and start funded on day one | LucidDirect | No evaluation at all — pay more upfront, get instant funded status, full size, and payout eligibility immediately. Runs a 20% consistency rule continuously and carries a slightly larger Max Loss Limit on the $100K/$150K sizes than the evaluation-based models. |
All four share an EOD trailing drawdown once funded, one-time pricing, and Lucid's no-hard-breach-on-fixed-drawdown policy — only the Max Loss Limit and any active Daily Loss Limit can end an account.

How Each Account Gets You Paid (Example: $50K account)
| Model | Evaluation | Funded |
| LucidPro | Make $3,000 profit, no consistency rule, DLL choice ($1,200 fixed or none) locked at checkout. | Meet the 40% consistency rule, $500 profit target per cycle, minimum 3 trading days. Full 4 mini / 40 micro size from day one — no scaling. |
| LucidFlex | Make $3,000 profit, 50% consistency rule (with cushion), no time limit, no DLL by default. | No consistency rule. Need 5 separate days of $150+ profit each and a net-positive cycle. Payout capped at 50% of profit, up to $2,000. Contract size scales up in tiers with balance. |
| LucidDaily | Choose EOD or intraday drawdown, $3,000 target, 50% consistency rule, optional DLL. | No consistency rule. Balance must clear the $52,100 buffer. Minimum payout $500, no fixed payout window on the evaluation path. |
| LucidDirect | No evaluation — instant funded from purchase. | 20% consistency rule every cycle. Payout Profit Goal $3,000 (first payout), $2,500 (after). Fixed $1,200 DLL until balance clears $52,100, then the LucidScale DLL takes over. |
