Sure Leverage Funding Rules

Sure Leverage Funding sells five account types, and the rules are different enough that you should pick the account before you pick the size. Two are instant funded, one is a straight one-step evaluation, one allows EAs in the challenge and one lets you start for $10. All accounts are demo accounts on live quotes, traded on MT5 or TradeLocker.

How the Drawdowns Work

The daily loss limit resets at 5pm EST, not at your local midnight. The system takes the higher of your balance or equity at that moment and subtracts the daily percentage of your initial balance, and floating losses count. On a $100,000 One Step account with $102,000 of equity at the reset, your equity can't fall below $99,000 the next day.

Static means the floor never moves. Instant Static's 8% on $100,000 is a fixed $92,000. Zero is different. Its 4% is measured from the highest equity you've reached, so the floor climbs as you profit. One Step trails too, but only at the 5pm EST snapshot, so intraday swings don't move it and it never comes back down. Zero is also the account where payouts hurt most, because the balance resets to the starting balance after each one, so leave some profit in the account to keep drawdown room.

The 1% Floating Loss Rule

On Zero, Static, EA Challenge and Buy Now, Pay Later funded accounts, equity that falls more than 1% below your starting balance, including swaps and commissions, counts as a breach. The first one halves your profit split and the second closes the account. Static and EA Challenge buyers can remove this rule for 15% of the account price at checkout.

Soft Breaches and Payout Denials

Most rule breaks here aren't instant account closures. They're soft breaches, where the profit from the offending trade is deducted from your payout. Tick scalping, meaning trades closed inside 2 minutes, is the usual one. You can collect up to 20 soft breaches before the account closes, and they're checked when you ask for a payout, not as you trade. If the deductions are bigger than your profit, or 50% or more of your trades are soft breached, the payout is denied. A first denial halves your split and a second closes the account.

News Trading

News trading is allowed in the One Step and Buy Now, Pay Later challenges. On funded accounts, and on the instant and EA accounts, you can't open or close a trade within 5 minutes before or after a red folder news event, and any profit from a trade that does is deducted at payout. A news trading add-on is sold at checkout for One Step (+10%) and Instant Static (+10%).

Expert Advisors, Copy Trading and Platforms

EAs are banned on every account except the EA Challenge, and even there only in the challenge phase. Once you're funded they're off. You can copy your own trades, but copying other traders' identical trades in the same window isn't allowed. VPS and VPN use is banned, and accounts are for one trader only. You trade on MT5 or TradeLocker, in forex, exotics, indices, gold, commodities and selected crypto.

Leverage

Challenges run at 1:50, funded accounts at 1:30, and the EA Challenge gets 1:100 in the challenge phase only.

Account Limits, Activity and Eligibility

You can hold unlimited evaluation accounts, but total funding is capped at $400,000 per trader, and only $200,000 of that can be Instant Funding. There's no scaling plan. You have to place at least one trade or pending order every 30 days or the account is closed. You must be 18 or older and trade under your own legal name. The firm doesn't accept traders from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Russia, Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Somalia, Syria, Pakistan, Algeria, Vietnam or Taiwan, and Malaysian traders are capped at $50,000 total. Evaluation fees are not refundable at the moment.
