Lucid Trading has added Tajikistan to the country list that blocks a purchase. The firm’s own restricted-countries article in the help center is marked updated today, 9 October 2026, and Tajikistan now sits between Syria and Tanzania.
The rule is citizenship and residence, not just where you are logging in from. Lucid’s wording is direct: if you are a citizen or resident of any country on the list, you are not eligible to use Lucid Trading services. The article tells traders to check the list before buying a futures evaluation.
What the page actually says
- Tajikistan is on the list as of the 9 October update.
- The same page still includes Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Vietnam, the Philippines, South Africa, and several European names (Iceland, Lithuania, Slovenia, Bulgaria).
- It also lists territories, not just countries: Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Sevastopol.
- The article does not spell out what happens to an account that is already open and is later found ineligible at KYC.
This is an eligibility rule, not a trading rule. It does not change drawdown, payout timing, or the split on Lucid Trading accounts. It does mean a trader in Tajikistan, or a Tajik citizen living somewhere else, should not buy. Lucid has been rewriting plan terms in public lately, including the split between new and legacy LucidMaxx rules earlier this week. The country list is a separate document, and it moves on its own schedule.
Restricted lists in this industry usually mix sanctions, payment-rail limits, and firm risk calls. Lucid does not say which of those applied to Tajikistan. The practical effect is the same either way: no new account.
Our Take: Check the help center the day you pay, not the day you read a review. Lucid’s list is long, it includes countries that other firms still accept, and it was edited today. If your country is on it, the fee is the wrong place to find out.
